Landscape & Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities & Duties:

Oversee and perform seasonal gardening tasks
Ensure outside spaces are kept guest ready
Maintain lawns and native grasses
Manage irrigation systems
Care for ponds and creeks on property
Road maintenance (ie, filling potholes & road grading)
Trail development and maintenance
Assist with annual haying operation
Perform any needed maintenance tasks in buildings and oversee contracted work
Perform maintenance on vehicles, equipment and RV’s
Care for recreational equipment and perform maintenance as needed (bikes, rafts, kayaks, fly fishing gear, lawn games)
Assist with guest services as needed (ie, preparing for guest visits, communicating with guests, providing transportation, guiding activities) and based on skills/interests

Expectations:

Experience and interest in maintaining gardens
Comfortable running machinery (lawn mowers, tractor, tracked skid steer) is a plus
Hard working and having a “yes” attitude is a must as this position is primarily self directed
Team player - we have a small team at Cliff Ranch and expect everyone to support one another and pitch in wherever needed
Must be able to lift heavy objects (50lb)
Work is primarily outside (expect to have some very hot days in the summer and some winter weather in the fall)
