Our mission is to bring together small groups to experience nature, adventure and camaraderie in a setting that is truly beautiful and inspiring.

The Cliff Ranch is ideally suited for family, friends or corporate/non-profit groups with a size of 6 to 25 people. In booking the ranch, your group will have full, exclusive access to the entire property and its amenities. In planning your stay, we help create daily itineraries that maximize individual enjoyment and group dynamics. We seek to engage and inspire each of our guests so they will have a Montana experience to remember.

Encompassing over 2,000 acres, the ranch is a unique, natural wonderland of diverse and breathtaking topographies and landscapes. The mountains, canyons, wetlands, open range and Blackfoot river provide an ever-changing canvas of natural scenic beauty. The Cliff Ranch is home to dozens of wildlife species including wolf and bear, elk and deer, eagle and falcon, beaver and otter, and coyote and mountain lion.

The Cliff Ranch and surrounding backcountry offer an extensive network of trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and XC skiing.  From lazy walks along the river to all day hikes into the Garnet Wilderness, guests can choose their own level of adventure.  And with over three miles of private river frontage on the Blackfoot River as well as our ponds and streams, you can choose rafting, kayaking, swimming, and of course, fly fishing.

The Blackfoot River was made famous by Norman Maclean’s “A River Runs Through It” and so the Ranch is a truly paradise for both expert or beginning fly fishers. With private bank access to three miles of the Blackfoot River, ranch guests have options to wade or float directly from the property or head upstream or downstream for an all-day river excursion. For kids and those just starting out, our natural ponds and wetlands offer opportunities to learn casting techniques and experience the joy of catching a fish.

Our lodge and cabins are historic and cozy while, at the same time, also spacious, upscale and modern. For dining, we work closely with each group to create experiences matching your culinary desires. Our offerings range from farm-to-table chef creations to family-style outdoor BBQ’s.
